Merchant Acceptable Use Policy

This Merchant Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") outlines the rules, restrictions, and compliance requirements for all businesses ("Merchants") using Devxxon Shop, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) e-commerce platform operated by Devxxon. By onboarding onto Devxxon Shop, all Merchants agree to comply with this Policy, as well as all applicable laws, payment provider requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Devxxon operates strictly as a technology provider, platform operator, and facilitator of digital commerce infrastructure. Devxxon does not own or control merchant businesses, act as a reseller of merchant products, or assume liability for merchant goods or services.

Merchants are permitted to use Devxxon Shop for the sale of physical goods (e.g. fashion, accessories, packaged consumer goods), non-restricted general merchandise, and legally compliant products within Ghana and applicable jurisdictions. All products must be legitimate, verifiable, and lawful; accurately described; and deliverable to customers.

Merchants are strictly prohibited from engaging in fully prohibited categories including: cryptocurrency-related businesses; betting, gambling, and lottery services; investment, lending, or financial services; crowdfunding or pooled funds; airtime, data, or utility resale; pharmaceutical, herbal, or medical product sales; political or campaign-related activities; real estate listings or property sales; sale of precious minerals or high-risk commodities; electronic goods (e.g. mobile phones, televisions, gadgets); automotive sales; travel agency activities; digital-only products (e-books, downloads); and non-profits or donation-based activities.

Devxxon reserves the right to approve, restrict, or remove any merchant at its discretion.

All merchants are subject to a manual onboarding process, which includes business identity verification, review of products and services offered, confirmation of compliance with this Policy, and validation of contact details and operational legitimacy. Devxxon reserves the right to request additional documentation at any time and to suspend onboarding if compliance cannot be verified.

Payments on Devxxon Shop are processed through Devxxon's integrated payment infrastructure. All payments must correspond to real product purchases, merchants must fulfill all paid orders, and transactions are tracked and tied to specific merchants. Devxxon maintains transaction logs, merchant-level reconciliation records, and audit trails for all payments.

Devxxon operates a structured settlement system whereby payments are received centrally and allocated per merchant, settled based on agreed timelines, and backed by verifiable transaction records. Devxxon ensures accuracy in financial reporting, transparency in merchant balances, and clear separation of platform fees and merchant earnings.

Merchants must fulfill all orders within reasonable timelines, use reliable delivery methods (local or international), and provide accurate delivery details. Devxxon may integrate with logistics partners to support fulfillment but does not guarantee delivery performance.

Where applicable, merchants may receive orders from customers outside Ghana. All international transactions must relate to physical goods that can be legally shipped, and merchants must comply with all customs, export, and import regulations. Devxxon ensures that only compliant transactions are processed and that no restricted cross-border activities occur.

Devxxon actively monitors platform activity to ensure compliance. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate merchant accounts, withhold settlements pending investigation, and report suspicious or illegal activity to relevant authorities or payment partners.

All merchants must comply with payment provider policies (e.g. Paystack), anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. Devxxon is committed to aligning with global best practices and may update this Policy to reflect regulatory changes.

As part of our compliance roadmap, Devxxon will transition merchants to dedicated payment sub-accounts where applicable, improve transparency in transaction flows, and strengthen merchant-level financial independence.

By using Devxxon Shop, all merchants acknowledge and accept this Policy, agree to operate within its guidelines, and understand that violations may result in account suspension or termination.
